Great location, fantastic views and literally the BEST appointed vacation rental we have ever stayed in. Even our dog was upset to leave! Can not recommend highly enough.

Our first visit to Brixham and not our last. Trade Winds Cottage is comfortable and has everything you need as a home from home. Main bedroom is lovely with a really comfortable king sized bed. Both me and my husband suffer with back issues so always a concern when we travel.
Situated over four floors, the stairs can be challenging as quite steep but as expected in a property of this age.
Cottage has been renovated sympathetically to maintain character whilst providing comfort and a quirky style.
The location is perfect, with wonderful views and two minutes walk from the harbour.
Fresh milk, tea and coffee plus fresh scones, jam and clotted cream welcomed us on arrival. Thanks Jo!
Brixham itself was lovely, some great walking to be had. We walked to Berry Head which has amazing views across Lyme Bay.
The Covid situation was handled well by all restaurants and shops but recommend you book in advance if you want to eat somewhere particular as they are often fully booked for up to 5 days.
We were very lucky with the weather and spent a couple of afternoons on the beach and swimming at Shoalstone beach.
We didn’t have time to do everything we wanted to so will be back and our accommodation of choice will definitely be Trade Winds.
All in all a great few days away. Highly recommend Trade Winds Cottage and a visit to Brixham itself.

We had a lovely stay at Trade Winds Brixham, every little detail had been thought through, tea coffee fresh milk on arrival and delicious scones and cream. The beds were so comfy and towels fluffy and soft, the views were amazing would not hesitate to recommend .

We really loved our week in Devon staying so close to the harbour. The views from the bedrooms are fantastic and the cottage has everything you need. Lovely comfy beds too. Lots of walks to gorgeous little coves on your doorstep. Perfect.

  I don't really want to review this as I want to keep it a secret. By reviewing I fear I wont be able to get in here again! But I owe to the owners to do so. Close your eyes and think of a typical quaint fisherman's cottage and you have Trade Winds Cottage. The cottage is in a fantastic location with wonderful bedroom views over the harbour.
The owners have gone out of their way to provide a beautiful experience. They have thought of everything. Even water bottles in the bedrooms and scones on arrival.
I will certainly be back next year. 10/10

Located almost next to the harbour in Brixham this fisherman's cottage is a fun place to stay. Modernised to a high standard over 4 floors with two loos, a must for teenage kids, and a well equipped kitchen, even had a dog bowl. The stairs are steep so not ideal for little ones but all the floors had plenty of space and generous sized bedrooms . We stayed during the winter and the heating worked a treat very cosy. The shops, cafes and restaurants are all within a 2 minute walk and it is possible to buy fresh fish from the market across the road. The coastal path towards Torquay is an easy walk especially if you have a dog. Jo gave us the heads up on the best places to walk the dog, St Mary's bay being one and we were lucky enough to see seals playing just off the beach there. Clearly a lot of effort has gone into making Trade Winds a great place to stay, down too home made mince pies on the table and a pint of milk in the fridge. Thanks Jo for a great weekend.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. Such a comfortable and cosy place to be based for exploring the surrounding area.

We had a three night stay in this delightful cottage in a quiet spot in Brixham, but close to the harbour and bars, restaurants, cafes, etc. The cottage has all the quaintness and features you would expect in a fishermans cottage - absolutely charming! The cottage is furnished tastefully and fully equipped with everything you would need. Jo left us some coffee, tea, sugar, etc, plus a lovely surprise of scones, jam and cream (really nice touch!) The bed was really comfortable, so much so, I looked to see what make the pillows were, and I have some on order! The bed linen and towels were excellent quality... no expense spared. Everything was spotlessly clean.
Brixham is absolutely charming, and a perfect base to visit nearly beaches. We found coves we didn't know existed and it was a pleasure going to explore.
There are numerous excellent places to eat nearby and some quaint, friendly "locals" pubs where everyone was so friendly and eager to chat, or you could just sit outside and watch the world go by.
